How to Install & Add Widgets to Your iPhone

Follow these 4 simple steps to install HazeWatch and place live air quality gauges directly on your Home Screen, Lock Screen, and Apple Watch.

Install HazeWatch

Get early beta access on your iPhone using Apple's official TestFlight app.

  • 1.1 Tap the blue TestFlight Link on your iPhone.
  • 1.2 If you don't have TestFlight, it will prompt you to install it free from the App Store.
  • 1.3 Inside TestFlight, tap Accept and then Install.
  • 1.4 Open HazeWatch once and tap Allow While Using App so it can detect your nearest air quality station.

Home Screen

Add Home Widget

Keep real-time PSI and health status directly on your iPhone home screen.

  • 2.1 Go to your Home Screen. Press and hold any blank space until the apps jiggle.
  • 2.2 Tap the + (Plus) button in the top corner of your screen.
  • 2.3 Search or scroll down to find HazeWatch.
  • 2.4 Swipe to choose Medium or Small widget, tap Add Widget, and tap Done!

Lock Screen & AOD

Add Lock Screen Dial

Glance at the air quality on your Always-On Display without unlocking your phone.

  • 3.1 Swipe down or lock your phone. Press and hold the Lock Screen.
  • 3.2 Tap Customize at the bottom, then choose Lock Screen.
  • 3.3 Tap the widget row directly underneath the clock (+ Add Widgets).
  • 3.4 Select HazeWatch, tap the Circular Dial, and tap Done in top right!

Apple Watch

Add Watch Complication

Live transboundary haze monitoring right on your wrist.

  • 4.1 On your Apple Watch, press and hold your watch face.
  • 4.2 Tap Edit, then swipe left to the Complications screen.
  • 4.3 Tap any complication spot (Corner, Sub-dial, or Rectangular).
  • 4.4 Turn the Digital Crown to pick HazeWatch, then press the Crown to save!

HazeWatch is engineered from the ground up on strict privacy-first principles. Because our app utilizes location services to find your nearest environmental station, we believe in complete transparency:

100% On-Device Processing Your GPS coordinates (latitude/longitude) are calculated entirely within iOS on your physical device.
Zero Coordinate Transmission Your exact GPS coordinates are NEVER sent to our servers, stored in databases, or logged anywhere.
Only Region Names Queried The app maps coordinates locally to a broad zone (e.g. "West" or "Kuala Lumpur") and only requests public government data for that sector.
No Location History We do not track where you travel, when you move, or where you live. No tracking profiles are ever created.

Data is retrieved via public open APIs provided by the Singapore National Environment Agency (data.gov.sg), the Malaysian Department of Environment, and Indonesian meteorological monitoring sources. All data is provided "as is" for general informational reference only. HazeWatch is not officially affiliated with or endorsed by government agencies and does not provide medical or health-critical life safety advisories.
